Camila Maciel Viana is a Brazilian Forestry Engineer. She joined the IIASA Ecosystem Services and Management Program (ESM) in June 2019, in order to do her applied period under the European Forestry Erasmus Mundus Master Programme. She spent the first year of her studies at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) and for the second year she will be hosted by the Universität für Bodenkultur Wien (BOKU). At this stage of her studies she will be developing practical activities centered around biophysical modeling at IIASA. As a Guest Research Assistant she is now part of the Center for Landscape Resilience & Management (CLR) team, working on modeling harvest rotation periods for Brazilian trees species in a partnership with the RESTORE+ Project.
