Masakazu Katsumoto came to IIASA in 1997 as a participant of Young Scientists Summer Program and is currently working with the Advanced Systems Analysis (ASA) Program on structural changes and economic growth.
Dr. Katsumoto studied economics and science and technology policy at Tokyo University in Japan. From 1990 to 1995 he worked as a policy analyst at KEIDANREN (Japan Federation of Economic Organizations). From 1995 to 2003 he was Assistant Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology, and in 2003 he was employed by the Kyoto Institute of Technology as Associate Professor for management of technology.
His fields of interest are dynamics between technological change and industrial structure.
