Michael Le Gohebel joined the Ecosystems Services and Management Program (ESM) in September 2017, as Research Management Officer of the Environmental Resources and Development (ERD) Research Group.
Prior to joining IIASA, Mr. Le Gohebel worked in the Project Office of the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Vienna where he was in charge of facilitating the preparation and the submission of research proposals, as well as coordinating the administration of grants.
He also worked for CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) - European Affairs Department in Paris/Bordeaux as European Project Manager, the Slovak Academy of Sciences â Institute of Physics in Bratislava and Centre for Social Innovation in Vienna as Project Administrator. In addition to a Bachelor in foreign languages (English/German), Mr. Le Gohebel graduated in European Studies and International Relations with focus on European project management (Universities of Cergy-Pontoise and Paris 1 PanthÃ©on-Sorbonne University).
Within the ERD group, Mr. Le Gohebel is the prime contact point for internal and external project related issues. He coordinates and monitors complete project processes, and provides support for the acquisition of research funds thanks to his experience in proposal preparation for numerous international funding schemes.
