IIASA Alumnus World Population
Matthew Cantele joined IIASA's Ecosystems Services and Management (ESM) Program as a Research Assistant in January 2015, following almost two years with the World Population Program. His research interests include drivers of food consumption heterogeneity as well as drivers and scenarios of biodiversity and ecosystems change. He is involved as a lead author in multiple Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystems Services deliverables (3c, 2b, and 3bi) as well as active within IIASA's cross-cutting Socioeconomic Heterogeneity in Model Applications Project.
Prior to joining IIASA, Mr. Cantele worked for the Public Affairs Section of the Embassy of Japan in Washington, DC. He received an MA in Political Science from Northern Illinois University, with a focus on political psychology and the evolutionary underpinnings of cooperative behavior.
