Short biography: Prof. Jiang Zhenghua (1937-) is a world-famous demographer, expert of systematic engineering and administrative engineering. He was awarded the first prize of National Scientific and Technological Advance twice, and the national, provincial and ministerial prizes for scientific research many times. He was awarded the Golden Medal by the International Institute for Population Sciences. Prof. Jiang Zhenghua is the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee (Deputy
speaker) of the National People's Congress, Chairman of the Central Committee
of the Chinese Peasants' and Workers' Democratic Party, Chairman of the Chinese
Science Center of the International Academy of Sciences for Europe and Asia,Professor
and Doctor Adviser of Xi’an Jiaotong University. He also holds more posts
concurrently. He is the President of the Public Administration School of Xi’an
Jiaotong University, President of the Management School of Beijing Normal University,
Chairman of the Consultative Committee of the Public Administration School of
Renmin University of China, Professor and Doctor Advisor of the Chinese Academy
of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Part-time Professor of
Tsinghua University and Fudan University. He has had been working as Guest
Professor of Stanford University, Paris Institute of Political Studies and other
foreign University.
