and regional development we will analyze six major dimensions by
asking certain analytical questions: |

What is the current situation in
each of these dimensions, as measured by certain development
indicators (such as a human development index, an economic development
index, an environmental protection index, etc.)? In particular, we are
interested in the spatial patterns of development. |

What are the future trends in each
of these sectors? |
|
|
How does each dimension affect
overall rural / regional development? In other words: what is the
relevance of each sector? |
|
|
How good is our empirical basis?
|
|
|
What can be done to promote
development in each of the dimensions? This is the question in which
politicians are most interested. |
|
|
And finally, what would it cost to
implement these development measures in the various sectors? |
