| We are currently
developing the following data products with a focus on rural and
regional development in China: |

A
province-level database |
| |
|
This
database includes a very broad range of variables (more than 1000) at
the province level. They cover, in great detail, all six development
dimensions of our theoretical concept (see:
Dimensions of Development). The
database is used in the RAPS-Province Level tool (see
RAPS-China). It will be also used for publications. |

A
county-level
database |
| |
|
This database will be
used for our GIS work and for the County-level version of the RAPS
tool. It will include a much smaller set of development variables, due
to the limited availability of county-level data in China. We have
already acquired several datasets, which will be cross-checked,
consolidated, and compiled into a unified county-level GIS database
system. All data will be linked to a polygon file of county
boundaries, so that it will be possible to easily produce thematic
maps, conduct spatial analyses, and develop spatial models. |

Selected tables, figures,
charts, and maps |

In addition to the
databases, we will produce selected tables, charts, figures, and maps
related to rural and regional development in China. These data
products should present the most essential facts of rural and regional
development in China. They will also be available online at this web
site. |
