Heilig, G.K. (1999): ChinaFood - Can China Feed Itself?
Version 1.1.3, Laxenburg (International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis)
ISBN: 3-7045-0134-4

When it was published in 1999, the ChinaFood CD-ROM was a new form of electronic publication, which not only included in-depth analyses of China's food security problems and prospects but also a large number of inter-linked tables, figures, maps, and animations, which provide background information on China's agriculture and rural development and on many other aspects of the country's food system. The CD-ROM was developed by Gerhard Heilig when he worked as a senior research scholar at IIASA's Land-use Change Project.
