In fact, map output is one of the most important functions in RAPS. We have tried to make it as easy as possible for the user to produce a high-quality thematic map for China. Being frustrated with the excessive (and mostly unnecessary) technical complications in commercial GIS and mapping software, we have decided to include a simple map module in RAPS which you can use to produce thousands of thematic maps on China with virtually a few clicks of your mouse. |

While the map module in RAPS is quite basic (and, of course, not comparable with real GIS or mapping systems) it is still quite powerful and produces excellent, publication-quality output. Moreover, you have great flexibility in modifying coloring scales for the maps. RAPS includes several default coloring schemes; but you can also custom-specify your own color graduation. |
