Diversity Index 2 (D2)

The Diversity Index 2 (D2) is the RANGE of a distribution, divided by the highest distribution value.

D2 is calculated according to the following formula:


D2 = |RANGE / MAXIMUM|

Where RANGE is the difference between the highest and lowest value of the distribution (RANGE = MAXIMUM - MINIMUM).
