IIASA, Laxenburg, Austria The first annual meeting of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) and the Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI) of the Kyoto University on Integrated Disaster Risk Management: Reducing Socio-Economic Vulnerability took place at IIASA in Laxenburg, Austria on August 14, 2001. The meeting followed two EuroConferences at IIASA on "Global Change and Catastrophe Risk Management."
