Anthony Patt conducts research on environmental decision-making, investigating how individual and collective choices enhance or interfere with the effectiveness of environmental policies. He works primarily in the area of climate change, considering both adaptation and mitigation policies. He has conducted extensive field research on climate adaptation in Africa. He was a contributing author to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Fourth Assessment Report, is an Associate Editor of the journals Regional Environmental Change and Climate & Development, and is on the editorial board of Global Environmental Change. He taught for four years at Boston University, as Assistant Professor of Environmental Policy in the Department of Geography and Environment. He received his PhD from Harvard University in 2001, in the field of Public Policy.
