Magali Dreyfus joined the Risk and Vulnerability Program as a Research Scholar at the beginning of 2010. She is working on climate change adaptation in the European Union.

Dr. Dreyfus holds a PhD in law from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy (2010) and a master's degree in public and comparative law from the University of Paris-Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her PhD dissertation examines the impact of European law at local level. It focuses in particular on local public services and presents case studies on France and Italy. During her doctoral studies and as a member of different research networks, she worked on a wide variety of public policies such as public transport, waste management, the environment, and human rights. These research activities were combined with work experience in different international institutions such as the European Commission and UNAKRT. Since 2008, Dr. Dreyfus has regularly given lectures on European law at various universities.
