MARGE is distributed via Java Web Start, enabling users to download the program to their computer and use it without internet access.  To use MARGE for the first time, simply click on the link below. After its first use, MARGE can be launched from the Java Web Start helper app without navigating back to this page, if desired.

MARGE was developed at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in 2009.  The developers would like to acknowledge that funding for this work was received from the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research and from the European Climate Foundation. We would like to thank Antonella Battaglini, Nadejda Komandantova, and Michael Pahle for valuable assistance compiling data and providing focus.

Research conducted using data and results from the MARGE model was recently submitted to a peer-reviewed journal for publication.
