    Katarina Zigova  

 

 

Katarina Zigova joined the Population and Climate Change Program in July 2005.

Ms. Zigova graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Comenius University of Bratislava in 2000 specializing in the mathematics of economics and finance. From 2000 to 2002, she attended a two-year postgraduate program at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) in Vienna, where she earned a diploma in economics. Afterwards she took on a four-month internship at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Vienna. Since 2003 she has worked as a consultant in econometric and statistical data modeling and analysis at UNIDO, as well as in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bratislava, and at the Vienna Institute of Demography (VID). In 2008 she joined a Doctoral Programme in Quantitaive Economics and Finance at the University of Konstanz, Germany.

Ms. Zigova's research interests include models for categorical and limited dependent variables, clustering analysis, and frontier and panel data models in economics.
