Technical Description
The desertification database can be extracted from the land degradation coverage. For a complete description of the desertification database, please refer to the land degradation database description. Below we have extracted those fields which apply only to desertification. Desertification (Pa) - expanding areas of deserts as a result of natural (cyclic changes in climate) and anthropogenic causes (wood cutting, removal of herbaceous vegetation due to overgrazing).
