The FOR Program organized an IIASA Side Event titled Global Forests: Impacts on Major Biogeochemical Cycles, on October 22nd, 2009, at the World Forestry Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Speakers A. Shvidenko, F. Kraxner and S. Fritz hosted the event along with invited speakers E.G. Jobbágy and Guangcui Dai.
