Sources:

2) Various Statistical Offices

Definitions:

The Total Fertility Rate (TFR) is the sum of age-specific fertility rates for a particular year over the female reproductive period (of age 15-49). The TFR can be interpreted as the average number of children per women.
The Net Reproduction Rate (NRR) denotes the average number of daughters that would be born to a women, if she passed through her lifetime from birth conforming to age-specific fertility and mortality rates of a given year. A NRR of 1.0 means that each cohort of women is having exactly enough daughters to replace itself in the population (adapted from Council of Europe, 2001). If the NRR is below 1, the population is shrinking from generation to generation.
