A joint meeting of the
Energy Modeling Forum, the International Energy Agency,
and the International
Energy Workshop
to be held 2022 June 2000
at Stanford University
The International
Energy Workshop (IEW) has been run jointly by IIASA and Stanford University
for the last 19 years. Every year it provides a major international
meeting around the central themes of energy projections and scenarios
contributed from researchers around the world. The aim is to better
understand areas of agreement and disagreement among the projections
of different modeling groups, such as the levels of future energy prices
or energy demand. This year's workshop is jointly organized by the Energy
Modeling Forum, International Energy Agency and IIASA.
Presentations will
be given in the following areas:
- Comparison of
Energy-Economics-Environment Scenarios and their Key Assumptions
- Primary Energy
Resources and Potentials of Renewables
- Energy Technology
Assessment
- Flexible Instruments
- Discounting
and Intergenerational Equity
- Methodology
The current draft
of the Program (as of 14 June) is available.
Please note that this will be updated on a regular basis. Papers received
prior to the workshop will be posted as they become available.
Workshop Logistics:
The meeting will take place in the Wattis Room of the Littlefield
Center. The Littlefield Center is located on Lausen Street (just
off Campus Drive East - close to the oval). For orientation, please
look at the map on the Stanford University Campus (area
map of Stanford vicinity) .
Registration: Please
note that we are asking all participants to pre-register with the Forum.
Upon confirmation of payment, participants will receive
more detailed information on the workshop logistics. There will be no
on-site registration.
