International Energy Agency
Paris, France

The International Energy Agency, based in Paris, is an autonomous agency linked with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The IEA's primary goal of energy/oil security has been more widely defined in recent years to embrace the environmental impact of energy-related activities and the growing globalisation of energy issues, as countries' economies and energy markets become increasingly interdependent.
