The 2005 meeting of the INTERNATIONAL ENERGY WORKSHOP (IEW) was held in Kyoto, Japan on 5-7 July 2005.

The meeting focused on the following topics:

  • Managing uncertainty and climate change
  • Abrupt climate change
  • Global energy resources
  • UNFCCC/Post-Kyoto regimes
  • Socioeconomic effects of an unsustainable energy-climate system
  • Hydrogen economy
  • Energy price and its economic impacts
  • Technological responses to climate change
