The 2004 meeting of the INTERNATIONAL ENERGY WORKSHOP (IEW) is jointly organized by the Energy Modeling Forum (EMF), International Energy Agency (IEA, including ETSAP) and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). The workshop was held on 22-24 June 2004 at the International Energy Agency (IEA), Paris, France.

The focus of the workshop was on:

• Climate mitigation and adaptation
  
• Long-term energy-economic-climate projections
  
• Energy technology assessment and innovation
  
• Low-carbon and carbon-free fuels and technologies
  
• Renewable energy and sustainable development
