International Energy Workshop 2002
 

 

 

 

The "International Energy Workshop" was jointly organized by the Energy Modeling Forum, International Energy Agency and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis. The meeting took place on 18-20 June 2002 at Stanford University.

The meeting consisted of 3 days of meetings with experts in the energy field. The plenary discussion focused on oil and gas reserves and resources. The second plenary session on the EMF-19 study, organized by John Weyant, reported on current research around the impact of new technologies in the energy sector. The final session highlighted long-term climate change issues.

Topics discussed during the parallel sessions involved:

  • ENERGY TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT
  • METHODOLOGY
  • ENERGY-ECONOMICS-ENVIRONMENT SCENARIOS
  • CLIMATE CHANGE

The next International Energy Workshop is scheduled to take place at IIASA, Laxenburg, Austria on 24-26 June 2003. More details will be made available in January 2003.
